“Reckoning" continues Billy T Band's distinctive, blues-drenched rockin' soul and consists mainly of their own compositions. This CD has a bunch of songs inspired by American Soul, Blues, R & B and Swamp Rock. In addition to original songs, obscure goodies emerge from "my wasted youth", to use Bill's own words. “This is our best yet "... Billy T! Billy T Band has previously released three albums, of which the last two have received a Grammy Award for best blues album (2010 and 2012). Reckoning is elegant, blue-eyed soul with brass, strings, blues guitar and points toward Stax and Philly soul. Guitarist Håkon Hoye contributes to the writing of all the songs except one. Here we find Billy T expanding a bit and retaining his excellance.
