Gary Primich - Riding The Dark Horse

Your Price:

CD Information

Originally known as a hot blues harmonica player in his adopted home of Austin, Gary Primich had matured into a fine singer/songwriter producing several rootsy styles. This record pulls together strains of '50s rockabilly, roadhouse electric blues, honky tonk country and early rock & roll. Gary declared this CD to be his "back to the basics" blues record, stripped down and bare bones. Blues Review magazine states "Gary Primich clearly stands at the forefront of today's blues harmonica scene." This reminds one of the Fabulous Thunderbirds approach back in the early days. There is some great playing with none of the over-playing common with a lot of today's blues.
