CD Information

George Smith was one the best harmonica players and he certainly captures the spirit of Little Walter on "Blues With A Feeling". This is a digitally remastered edition of the 1969 tribute to Little Walter from the ex-Muddy Waters sideman. An outstanding harmonica player, Smith played with a variety of Blues musicians such as Big Mama Thornton and Bacon Fat whilst pursuing a solo career. He died tragically young at the age of 59 in 1983. This is a fresh reproduction of Walter's material with better vocals and this should be a springboard for you to seek out more from George "Harmonica" Smith. "Blues With A Feeling" is the real deal; it should not be missed by fans of harp-driven blues.
