Blues harp Player, singer and guitarist Hook Herrera was born in 1960 in San Jose, California. At an early, age he started to play the accordion. Eventually he bought a harmonica and his talents with that instrument floated to the top. He taught himself to play the harmonica by listening to the records of Little Walter, Sam Meyers and Sonny Boy Williamson. Later, he met William Clarke and the hook was set. With this CD, there's some rock and ballads, and a hint of a "Springsteen" sound, but with some acoustic Blues. Yet on this occasion, Richie Sambora, and his guitar contribute to making the sound more like rockin' electric Blues. There's definitely some highlights on "Tonite" making it worth checking out.
