“Blues From The Basement" is a blues disc by Ivan Marcio and Roger Gutierrez that follows the excellent CD “Goin' To Delta”. The name reflects exactly where it was recorded; in a basement involving only 2 channels in order to record twelve tracks of tremendous, classic Blues. The concept during recording was to maintain the most organic sound possible. All instrumentation, sounds and voices, including barking dogs, cars and sounds of heavy rains, took about two months to finish and polish. Great homage goes to masters Little Walter Jacobs, Fats Domino, Howlin 'Wolf, Muddy Waters, Hollywood Fats, Louis Jordan, Lynwood Slim, Jimmy Rogers, Duke Ellington and others.
