J.J. Jackson started his career in New York around 1957 as a songwriter and arranger for Jack Mcduff and Jimmy Witherspoon among others. He recorded a single that became a mammoth R&B hit with one of the most infectious dance smashes of the decade, "But It's Alright". Jackson first met the Prado Brothers in 1999 in the Sanja Jazz Bar in Sao Paulo. And now back to 2016, the unlikely pairing with the great and talented Prado Brothers brings a whole new sound to this classic soul singer. Some mighty fine music here and, as usual, really great guitar playing by Igor Prado. All songs are covers, but the Prado treatment with horns, makes this scorching collection (of hard blues and soul) a must!
