Lightnin' Willie and The Poorboys - Buy American

This is a Masterpiece! A blues classic that truly deserves more attention. "Buy American" is Lightnin Willie's favorite album of all, which included the rhythm section from the Dwight Yoakum Band and the remarkable harmonica player, Jake Fitzgerald (R.I.P.). "Buy American" starts pumping the internal rhythm machine within the first bar of the opening track, "Woke Up This Morning". With all but one of the tunes penned by the affable Willie, the emphasis is on yanking sorry butts onto dance floors with catchy rhythms and solid grooves. The fun factor rules throughout this engaging effort. There's a lot of rockabilly and even a little country in Willie's brand of happy blues.
