Starting right off with a piano-based burner, Marc channels the magic of Little Richard. Marc Bristol and The Harmatones began work on this CD several years before release, with "Vashon" Dave Conant on lead guitar. After Dave passed away, work ceased for a long time. Then work resumed with some noteworthy guests, and Craig Flory's sax makes these recordings special. Marc has opened for artists ranging from Reba McEntire, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Asleep At The Wheel, the Marshall Tucker Band, Katie Webster, Queen Ida and Buckwheat Zydeco to Ramblin' Jack Elliot and John Hartford. He's played internationally in England, Germany and the Netherlands.

Marc wrote this song out of wishful thinking, but then it became prophecy of sorts when he got lucky and met his lovely wife Gaby, playing bass here in the band! The song appears on his CD "On The Edge Of Romance: The Best of Marc Bristol - Country, Vol. 1". On lead guitar here, Dan Taylor, and on drums Bob Merrihew, at this local Duvall Arts Festival on July 24, 2011. We started calling this same band the Honky Tonk Sweethearts more recently, in honor of the fact that Gaby and Marc play as a duo under that name quite a lot.
