Guitarist Merrell Fankhauser's career began in the early 1960s with the surf instrumental band, The Impacts. To the present day he has adapted to many of the trends in popular music along the way, each band making music of exemplary quality. Merrell Fankhauser's new CD single is about the current world situation; fires, floods , environment, war, and more. "Higher Ground" is getting nationwide airplay and swelling interest. Merrell Fankhauser has led one of the most diverse and interesting careers in music, and this roots-rockin' effort continues his diversity while showing his concern for the current world conditions. A percentage of the sales was donated to flood relief.
