Radiotones - Bound To Ride

Your Price:

CD Information

"Bound To Ride" is the first electric CD (with rock solid drumming) from this energized rockin' blues outfit. Alt. Blues band Radiotones is now a four piece playing original material that owes as much to trash country, rockabilly and punk as it does pre-war Delta blues. This band was formed in by National steel guitar player Dave Arcari whose gut-bucket, gravel-grinding vocal work lends real, earthy appeal to the song list. If your thing is up-tempo, blues-based music with plenty of punch and an attitude that is not too polite (maybe not even a little), then you're going to find this disc to be a keeper. 'Auld Lang Syne' (live) - Attica Rage, The Zips & Radiotones (02:52)
A raucous, rowdy and drunken gig finale singalong featuring The Zips, Attica Rage and Radiotones at an alternative St. Andrew's night party in Nice n Sleazy's, Glasgow, November 2007. Three leading Scottish punk, rock and blues bands came together for a St. Andrew's night triple-header show under the PUNKROCKBLUES banner at Nice 'n' Sleazy, Glasgow, Scotland on Friday 30 November 2007. The one-off show followed the sell-out success of an acoustic PUNKROCKBLUES gig in Glasgow in the summer which featured solo acoustic performances by JonZip McNeill (The Zips), Jonny Parr (Attica Rage) and Dave Arcari (Radiotones). Each of the bands performed their own version of a classic Scottish song in their sets of original material along with a special all-band finale. Radiotones played a bluesy rendition of Rabbie Burns' 'Parcel of Rogues', The Zips punked-up the classic 'Donald, Where's Yer Troosers?!' and Attica Rage did their own beefed-up, rockin version of The Proclaimers' hit 'I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)'. All 3 bands stormed the stage at the end for a singalong finale of 'Auld Lang Syne'.
