Steve Guyger - Radio Blues

"Radio Blues" is a collection of tunes that were inspired by listening to the radio of the fifties and early sixties. The first thing that hits you about this album is that it seems to have the immediacy, impact and feel of a classic Chess blues record, and manages to capture the spirit of electric Chicago blues as it existed many years ago. Mr. Guyger played with bluesman Jimmy Rogers for over a decade. His blues is powerful, well-stated, rockin' and very creative. Steve is confident on voice and harp. He knows how to keep a song tight - and let loose while he does it. Great blues the old school way. He's the real deal!
