The Bellyachers - Bottoms Up

Rising out of the Oaktown like a misplaced Patsy Cline, Sandra Mello's voice leads the Bellyachers through a honky tonkin' Bakersfield type romp. Singing credit also goes to Melody Baldwin whose rich harmonies help the vocals soar. The up tempo slide guitar and the high-lonesome tremolo of the girl-vox voices are beautiful, and the song writing is especially high caliber, with very little of the nudge-nudge, wink-wink stereotypes which plague "alt-country".
