The Daniel Smith Band brings us this opportunity to hear his mix of virtuoso, driving, barrelhouse boogie woogie with an authentic down-home blues piano. Daniel Smith is commonly recognized as an outstanding keyboards talent and a boogie woogie pianist without parallel. The Daniel Smith Blues Band's newly released CD, 'Highwire' contains eight original compositions, which were largely written by Daniel in the summer of 2011 during a period of illness. The material was not expected to be recorded, but following an incredibly generous and persuasive offer from Ralf Battenfeld, the concept was put into action. Proceeds from the CD will go to the MS Society.
