The Knights - Surfin' The Southwest Santa Fe Style

Your Price:

CD Information

This is the second CD from The Knights offering trad surf that goes further down the quiet road, and farther into open spaces. In many ways, this has the flavor of the gentler side of the Torquays, with restrained delivery and a writing style that is in the general vicinity of George Tomsco. Good for chillin'. Containing a total of 11 tracks (8 of which are originals written by Dick Stewart), including an excellent cover of Ghost Riders in the Sky. All tracks are played and recorded in the traditional 60s manner. Very similar to The Ventures' and The Fireballs' early '60s efforts. but without the double picking influence of Dick Dale. Well worth the price.
