After finishing a three month tour in Europe, Lightnin Willie and The Poorboys recorded this at Barry's Running Horse in Nottingham, England (including champagne, beer and whiskey). They aren't a pop band, so there are no overdubs and the CD retains a "human" element. The house is rockin with these "old junk blues" ... blues with a beat, that is! Giles King is outstanding on harp (as he always is)! And, the vocals are just right (guitar too) - can't leave out the superior drumming by Sam Kelly either. With five albums under his belt, this eloquent storyteller has his own story of time on the road, personal loss, fresh beginnings and an over-riding love of playing the "Devil's Music.
