Baby Boy Varhama is a Finnish blues/jazz musician, born in 1951. Misc. Company was hatched in summer of 1994. Country blues and more traditional American music were the order of the day, and a tuba was added for the purpose of creating bass lines. Finally, it was decided that a fiddle would put the finishing touches on the sound. On this work of Baby Boy Varhama and Misc. Co, the music of blues and jazz comes together as one cohesive, swingin' unit. Elements of Ellington, Armstrong and Taj Mahal are presented, yet they have been able to do this while putting their own classic sound down and grooving to the beat.
