The Lava Tube sound features an interesting range of vintage organs in addition to the traditional surf guitar line-up. This band formed in 2001 with members Alan Jenkins - guitar, Blodwyn P. Teabag - organ, Johnny Pacino - bass and Mat Bartram - drums. Marshall Cavendish replaced Johnny Pacino on bass in 2003. You will find, within these tracks, great tunes, great playing and a somewhat quirky sense of fun. In addition, there's wonderful cover art, featuring an extremely cross-looking drumming tiki and three rather amused-looking, instrument-playing (and upside down) bat-tikis - all in the most cartoonish of shades. After all, The Thurston Lava Tube's quirkiness is half the fun.
